Public transportation
MyBus is the principal public-transit service, operating air-conditioned premium buses on fixed routes from the airport to SM City Cebu (the largest mall in the city and a major transfer point), SM Seaside City Cebu, and Parkmall in Mandaue. Fares are PHP 40–50 with card or cash payment. From the transfer hubs, travelers connect to the wider Cebu jeepney network, tricycles, and smaller bus routes. Buses depart from designated bays at the arrivals level of both Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 roughly every 30–60 min.
Taxis & rideshare
Two taxi types serve the airport from the arrivals area. Metered white taxis follow standard Cebu city rates — PHP 40 flag-down plus PHP 13.50 per km — while airport-accredited yellow taxis charge a higher PHP 70 flag-down for quicker availability. Typical fares are PHP 200–300 to downtown Cebu (35–50 min across the Mactan–Mandaue Bridge or the new Cebu–Cordova Link Expressway), PHP 150–250 to Mactan resort hotels (15–30 min), and PHP 400–600 to south Cebu beach areas. Grab operates with designated pickup bays and offers transparent pricing via the app.
Rental cars
Several local and international car rental companies — including Avis, Hertz, Budget, Nissan Rent a Car, and local Philippine operators — maintain counters in the arrivals halls of both terminals. A valid driver license (foreign licenses valid for 90 days for tourists), passport, and credit card are required. Pre-booking is strongly recommended during peak season from December to April. Most visitors to Cebu skip rental cars given affordable Grab fares and drivers, as local traffic conditions and limited parking at tourist areas make self-driving challenging.
