Getting to the airport
Ground transport options from Zhengzhou
Public transportation
The Chengjiao Line (Metro Line 2 extension) connects CGO's GTC to central Zhengzhou's subway network; total journey to Zhengzhou Railway Station is approximately 45 minutes for CNY 8, trains running every 10–15 minutes 06:00–22:30. The Zhengzhou Intercity Railway provides high-speed rail from the airport station to Zhengzhou Railway Station (18 min) and Zhengzhou East Railway Station (15 min) for CNY 18–30. Multiple airport shuttle bus routes serve Zhengzhou districts and neighboring Kaifeng, Luoyang, and Xuchang.
Taxis & rideshare
Official metered taxis queue 24/7 at designated stands outside the arrivals halls of both terminals. Downtown Zhengzhou typically runs CNY 100–140 in 40–60 minutes, including expressway tolls. Destinations written in Chinese are strongly advised, and licensed cabs are identified by roof signage and printed receipts from the meter. Didi Chuxing is the dominant ride-hailing option with dedicated pickup zones.
Rental cars
China Auto Rental (CAR), eHi Car Services, and Avis operate counters in the arrivals hall. A valid Chinese driver's license is required for self-driving — International Driving Permits are not recognized on mainland Chinese roads. Chauffeur-driven services are the common alternative for foreign visitors and can be booked through the same rental counters or via ride-hailing apps supporting multi-hour bookings.
